Welcome to the 2017 SDGA Adult/Junior Championship at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City. 

 

Tournament Information

 

Age Divisions: 16-18, 14-15, 12-13 and 11-under. The overall SDGA champion is the winner of the 16-18 Division. A team may declare to play in an older division.

 

Format: 18 holes, Alternate Shot for all divisions. Child tees off on odd-numbered holes, adult tees off on even-number holes.

 

Eligibility: The adult must be a relative of the child (father, mother, aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister) and must be at least 25 years of age. Golf professionals may compete but must hit from the longest set of tees in play for the tournament, regardless of the age division.

 

HOTEL INFORMATION:

A block of rooms has been set aside for players on Saturday July 22nd through Tuesday July 25th at the following Quality Inn- Rapid City.

Quality Inn; 750 Cathedral Dr. Rapid City, SD 57701. The block will be held until June 22nd at a rate of $127.20 per night.  Players may call the hotel directly at (605) 341-9300 to reserve a room.  Please mention the "South Dakota Golf" rate when booking. 

 

SDGA POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR ALL JUNIOR GOLF SPONSORED TOURNAMENTS

 

WITHDRAW POLICY: Tee times for each event will be posted 5 days prior to each event.  Players who withdraw after tee times are posted are subject to penalty under SDGA withdraw policy and/or removal from their next scheduled event.

 

ETIQUETTE: Proper etiquette must be on display at all times or the player is subject to disqualification.

 

DRESS CODE: Proper dress is appropriate golf attire – collared shirts, mock turtlenecks, long pants, shorts. Girls may wear sleeveless tops. Absolutely, NO tee-shirts, gym shorts, cut-off shorts, tank tops and halter tops. All golf caps must be worn with bill of cap facing forward.

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: These are permitted provided they give distance only. An electronic measuring device that provides information such as slope, wind speed, etc., is prohibited.  

 

Golf relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for others and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf.
